Nelson Leenhouts
Nelson B. Leenhouts has served as Board Co-Chair of Home Properties since his retirement as Co-Chief Executive Officer of the company effective January 1, 2004. He had served as Co-Chief Executive Officer, President and a director of the Company since its inception in 1993. As Co-Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Leenhouts was responsible for the management of all Home Properties operations, including the division responsible for management of affordable housing properties. Nelson Leenhouts was a founder, and co-owner, together with his brother Norman Leenhouts, of Home Leasing Corporation from 1967 until he became sole owner in 2006. Mr. Leenhouts is a graduate of the University of Rochester.
